Last week, I treated myself to a box of goodies from InSpiral. I wrote about some of them in my last post, so here’s the rest!
Things have been rather busy here lately. In between trying to unpack, organise things, find my craft supplies, do some work, cook, clean, and alternately swearing at the internet, my laptop, and the phone signal (it’s shockingly bad), I’ve been feeling a little lack-lustre.. It’s hard to feel inspired when you’re down to your last carrot and up to your elbows in boxes.
However, something arrived in the post which has inspired me a bit more…
A gorgeous box of goodies from InSpiral!!
Well hello lovely people, did you think I’d forgotten about you? Not a chance! Life has been pretty full at the moment, some of it planned, some not, so I’ve been kept very busy for the past few months. But I’ve been absolutely itching to get back to blogging! And now I think I truly have something blog-worthy to share with you all.
I had very colourful dreams last night. Bright purples, glowing reds, vibrant greens, and stunning yellows….
And when I awoke, I just knew that something had to be done about that colourful, vibrant dream.. Continue reading
Sometimes, a recipe will take weeks, maybe even months, and occasionally years to perfect. You’ll start off with an idea, or a vague notion of what might work. And you play around with it, tweaking it here and there, until finally you end up with what you dreamed up all those many days ago….
That isn’t what happened here.
When I was planning my partners trip away, I did a lot of research into places to stay. My first thought was to find a nice hostel. I’ve stayed in a few during various trips, and most of them have been quite nice (only one that I didn’t like, but I shan’t go into details there!). The only trouble with hostels though, is quite often you have to share your room with strangers. For a research trip to London for a uni project, that’s not too bad. But for a birthday special treat? Not so nice!
So I contacted the Lovely Jo Jo of Vegan in Brighton to ask her if she had any suggestions of veggie-friendly B&B’s or Hotels, and she suggested I look into a place called Paskins!
Spring time is one of my favourite times of the year. It starts to warm up (so no more worrying about, is it going to snow today? Are we going to have another supermarket raid as everyone panic-buys 20 loaves of bread?) And it’s also not too hot that, with the exception of curling up inside your freezer, there’s nothing you can do to escape the heat (Something that I’ve only ever experienced since living in Devon. In Wales, such heat is just a myth!)
