Hello lovelies! I’ve been meaning to do this post for days now, but many things have gotten in the way! First I had no internet connection for a few evenings in a row.. then yesterday our car broke down, and getting home took 4 hours longer than I’d planned! But we’re all fine (though I can’t say the same about the car..)
I don’t always get time to post a recipe for every single thing I make, but I thought it might be interesting to share with you all what I’ve been making lately! I think I’ll make this into a regular thing. So keep an eye out for future WIM posts!
Now, on to my makes!
Tonight’s dinner! Spiralised raw stir-fry! Spiralised carrots, sugarsnap peas and bok choi, in a coconut oil, soy sauce, garlic and black pepper dressing with sprouted beans and seeds. So nice!
Delicious raw sweetcorn “chowder”, based on a recipe from a raw food cookbook I won from InSpiral – Christine Bailey’s ” The Raw Food Diet ” !. I simplified the recipe a bit, and added in some parsley (which is why mine is green!). Really fresh and tasty (though it’s a soup you have to eat as soon as you make it! Not so great as left overs! I’ll post my own recipe some day).
Gorgeous breakfast! Fresh raspberries, blueberries, strawberries and grapefruit, served with yoghurt, raw raspberry jam (I posted a quick recipe for this in my facebook page, like it if you haven’t already! I often post quick recipes and updates on there 🙂 ), and a sprinkle of raw crunchy coconut clusters! This was so lovely, with a mug of ginger and lemon tea.
A quick and easy lunch! ….
Mixed fresh vegetable wraps! This was so fresh and tasty. Again, a quick recipe on my facebook page :).
My first ever attempt at making raw crackers! Garlic and herb flavour. Really lovely, but still needs some work. I’ll share a recipe when I have it perfected!
I also used the cracker recipe to coat some kale chips… Mmmm… Garlic and herb kale chips!
Marinated and dehydrated mushrooms, to be used in mexican lettuce wraps! It’s amazing how something so simple can be so lovely!
A quick lunch – spiralised courgette and carrot noodles, topped with avocado, mushroom “mince”, oil, vinegar and hot sauce, with salad and a raw cracker! Heavenly.
I’ve been meaning to share this one with the world for years… peanut butter cauliflower.. I made this for my partners birthday celebrations (aside from a cake, it was the only other thing he requested! It’s that good!”
Medley-meal from my partners birthday bash! Marinated mushrooms with walnuts, peanut butter cauliflower, massaged kale salad with carrots, a herby salad, served with a cream-cheesy raw cashew sauce. (And some not raw hot sauce! But what can I say? I’m a bit hooked!). I also made potato wedges, potato salad (with mayo), potato salad (with garlic and herbs), grilled mixed vegetables, mexican mince, sauce, salsa, and sausage rolls, served with corn tortillas and tortilla crisps.. I’m known as the birthday fairy for a reason!
We went on a picnic to a castle one day, and this is what I brought. A lovely salad of courgette, cauliflower and salad leaves, with tomatoes, red pepper, sprouted beans, and marinated mushrooms on the side. With a dressing of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce and hot sauce in the little pot. I rather love this little container! It even comes with a little knife and fork which slots into the bottom of the lid. So handy for taking a varied salad on a picnic with you!
And my dessert for the picnic – fresh blueberries, dried cranberries, and a handful of chocolate coated mulberries from The Raw Chocolate Company. (Which I highly recommend!)
Another beautiful breakfast of fresh fruit, yoghurt, raw jam and coconut crunchies. I might be a little bit hooked!
I enjoyed this strawberry dequiri one evening whilst playing board games (Trivial Pursuit!) to celebrate my partners birthday. It must be healthy, because I blended in real strawberries ;). Rather a fun night! (That’s Minnie on the table, looking rather sleepy!).
Not a make, but I enjoyed a very fresh and sweet donut peach, from my organic fruit and veg box from Abel & Cole. Never had one before, and I might have squeaked in delight when I saw them tucked away amongst the rest of the veg.. I’ve always wanted to try one, so this was a fantastic start to my day!
Delicious green smoothie in my wonderful Chat Noir mug! My parents brought this back for me from France only a few weeks ago. I love this mug! Unfortunately, the spoon has already met an untimely end… but at least I still have somewhere in my mug to hold my straws!
Another raw spaghetti! This time with a creamy, cheesy sauce. This sauce was unbelievably creamy, and nut-free! A few tweaks before I can share it with you.. but it will be worth it!
I also made some beetroot spaghetti, using the same cheesy sauce. Just… wow.
(Also, can you tell I love my spiraliser? Best thing I’ve ever bought!)
These are in my dehydrator as we speak.. I think they might be chard leaves (I bought from in a huge bag from our local organic food truck, and forgot to ask what they were!). These are coated with olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, nutritional yeast and chilli powder.. I can smell them as I type! Mmm…
I also made some sundried tomato crackers, and some dehydrated strawberries and peaches.. but for some reason I don’t think I photographed those.. How odd!
