I have news! In less than one month, me and my partner will be leaving the house we’ve lived in for the past year, to move into a lovely new place with my partners brother, brother’s wife and their two kids! It’s going to be an exciting, stressful and wonderful time, and I can’t wait to see how it goes!
There are things I will miss about this house – the closeness to local shops and post office. Being only a 10-minute walk away from Hobbycraft (a good thing for my art – a bad thing for my purse!) and the lovely friendly people I’ve met here.
But there will also be things I’ll be glad to see the back of! Motorbikes and quad bikes at stupid hours of the day (seriously, who thinks it’s okay to rev their engine at 1, 3, or 8 in the morning??) ; living opposite a pub; the local “park” (just one swing set and slide) covered in obscene graffiti, beer cans and glass; and the endless supply of bugs we seem to have in this house!
Dozens of woodlice, slugs, and even this little blighter I caught watching me in the bathroom!
Those, I shall not miss.
Since it was my partners little one’s last visit to this house, I thought it might be nice to take a walk around the Marshlands, one of the nicest places here, and certainly one which we will surely miss.
Now, there’s lots of packing to do! So posts might be a bit sporadic for a while. So for now, I’ll leave you with some photos of the lovely Marshlands.
No matter what bad points there might be, happy memories like these will always be worth it all 🙂
Good bye past, hello future! <3
